It’s cold outside, and I need some comfort food. And it may not be the case for you but as far as I am concerned, spaghetti squash falls right into that category. I typically have a marinara sauce with my spaghetti squash but I just so happened to have some freshly made pesto and thought it might be a nice change.

Pan Seared Halibut with Coconut Curry Emulsion
Folks, don’t let the name of this recipe fool you, this was one of the easiest dishes I’ve ever prepared. Or at the very least Continue reading “Pan Seared Halibut with Coconut Curry Emulsion”
Strawberry “Cheesecake” Jars (Raw-Vegan)
A few days ago, I celebrated my 31st birthday (ouch). The idea of making my own birthday cake felt a little bit lame but I still wanted a healthy treat to come home to after a dinner at my favourite restaurant. Continue reading “Strawberry “Cheesecake” Jars (Raw-Vegan)”
Spicy Tuna Veggie Rolls
It’s hot outside, and I like my fish raw. I loooooooove sushi and could probably eat it every day and not get tired of it but man it’s a pain in the a** to make. The thing when you make sushi is (or at least when I make sushi) that you never just make one kind. If that were Continue reading “Spicy Tuna Veggie Rolls”
Peach Salsa
When I make a salsa, it often involves fruit. My go-to’s are usually mango, pineapple and papaya. All of them being acidic fruits, they blend really well with the other ingredients such as cilantro, lime and jalapeños. Only problem is they are also tropical fruits which doesn’t make them a very eco-friendly option. Don’t get me wrong I don’t always use local products and I am as guilty as anyone of buying imported produce. Continue reading “Peach Salsa”
Grilled Cajun Prawns with Jalapeño Cilantro Sauce
Summer is coming to an end (sigh)! I realize that for a lot of people it’s summertime all year long, but for us folks in the Northern hemisphere, it’s a very short season that always seems Continue reading “Grilled Cajun Prawns with Jalapeño Cilantro Sauce”
Cucumber Avocado Gazpacho
These days there’s a ton of tomatoes, fresh herbs and chili peppers growing in the garden. And since I have been trying really hard to buy and cook with fresh local produce I have been using tomatoes in a lot of recipes lately.
Salmon Tartare
Tartare has always been one of favourite dishes. Salmon Tartare, Tuna Tartare, Steak Tartare, I love them all.
A few years ago I was visiting my family in Montreal, and my family and I went Continue reading “Salmon Tartare”
Caesar Dressing (gluten-free & vegan)
This dressing, like all dressings or sauces I make from scratch is (not to brag but…) good enough to eat by the spoon. If you are skeptical and have never used cashew as a dairy or egg substitute, don’t be. Cashews are the bomb. All you have to do is soak them for at least for hours (but preferably overnight), and blend them. Continue reading “Caesar Dressing (gluten-free & vegan)”
Coconut Macadamia Key Lime Pie
The very first time I made a Raw-Vegan Key Lime Pie, I really wasn’t sure what to expect. Actually thinking back, I think this was the very first time I ventured into the Raw-Vegan Dessert world. Continue reading “Coconut Macadamia Key Lime Pie”
